Growing by the river

A seamless extension gave the residents of this Hawthorn home the extra room they desperately needed.

Located on the banks of Yarra River with remarkable river and city views, Hanson Building helped this family to create much needed space while remaining in their amazing neighbourhood.

Hanson Building added a new bedroom, bathroom and small terrace above the existing double garage.

The extension required structural work on the steep , sloping block to support the new areas. Being at the front of the house, the extension was also required to blend in with the existing structure. The result was seamless.

The job also included refurbishment of the rear deck and the addition of a new glass balustrade to enhance the terrific city views.
